Title: iSAVE

Comcept: Research shows making energy consumption visible can reduce the usage by up to 20 percent.
People use a time clock to know how long they take to complete a job, this can help to inspirit people to complete the job with less time next time. The idea is shifting the experience of time saving to water saving, iSAVE help people to save water consumption by revealing the amount of water they are consuming.
iSAVE is ideally adopted at communal bathrooms, such as in hotels, airports and malls, etc. iSAVE has two sorts, one is integrated into water faucet, the other is a accessory meter for a shower system or the faucet. The display numbers on iSAVE change in terms of water flux, the water flows faster, the numbers increase faster. The numbers are cleared automatically after the water stops flowing.
Blue light is selected for the figures of moderate usage; Red light is selected for overuse usage.

Coment: The message that "water usage could be decreased by 20% simply by making it visible" is very convincing. The message of this work is suitable to the theme of communication and collaboration and is also socially appropriate. Immediate commercialization of the production seems possible through installation onto existing faucets and showerheads. The blue and red lights indicating appropriate usage and overuse, respectively, are easy to understand.
