Title of work dange (to listen not to hear)
Concept of the work Present problems that have great effects to our future actually have solutions around us. it can be from oldmens' advices, experiences, our hearts and the nature itself. But are we really listening to them? Maybe all we need to do is to listen. By really listening,we embrace the hope of a better life for a better future.
To listen, all we have to do is to concentrate, to listen straight to the heart by not allowing our ears to hear noises from outside. To concentrate solemnly, we need the help of nature.
By rolling two pieces of natural leaves, folding them and put them to our ears, physically we cannot hear clearly but we can feel more clearly, then we can listen to our hearts and understand our deepest feelings.
Denge is a sundanese word for listening. Denge is not a commercial product, but a sort of instructional act to inspire people to do denge act. We provide it with such packaging that could contain any leaves from any trees.
Judge's Comment This proposal contains spiritual theory and gives a poetic impression. Instead of proposing goods, it is interesting how the design encourages a person to focus their spirit and sharpen their senses by folding a natural leaf, placing it to their ear and listening to sounds.
