Title of work EXIT! Phone Application
Concept of the work The aim of this interactive design is to guide the user to the safest and nearest exit in the event of a fire. The actual application is installed on a phone and works by communicating with supporting fire alarm and exit signs inside the burning building as will as the nearest emergency response system. I felt the need to design a software to help users find the nearest and safest exit after Lame Horse Club fire in Dec. 5th 2009, which claimed the lives of 109 people.
Judge's Comment Instead of downloading applications by oneself, it would be convenient if a system existed for automatic downloading to mobile phones when entering certain facilities. Extended reality software such as the iPhone application Sekai Camera is currently available. This proposal contains great technological possibility. Therefore, I hope that the designer will give further consideration to the interaction of such personal devices with construction plans and design plans, as well as to methods for spreading the system.
