International Ceramics Festival Mino, Japan ‘95
Exhibition: Top Ceramic Designers from Around the World

As one of the major attractions at the “International Ceramic Festival-Mino, Japan” (a triennial festival which is highly regarded both domestically and internationally); this exhibition will focus on 33 works by 27 designers and artists from Asia. Asia is at the center of the world’s attention. This was not simply due to the strong economic activity of the region, but also due to the expectation that Asia, from its deep cultural traditions would shape the direction of world progress in the future. In the world of ceramics too, each nation possesses a proud independent tradition fostered by a long history and an abundant regional flavor. spotlighting those designers and artists from these traditions who are eagerly developing and seaching for new visions provided an ideal opportunity to display to the world a new sense of pride in Asian design power.
