Japan Package Design Awards (JPDA) has been run by the Japan Package Design Association as biennial awards for outstanding works since 1985. This competition gives an opportunity for package designers to have the true value of their products assessed through various aspects such as design quality and creativity. Aiming to continually improve the public understanding of package design, JPDA acclaims excellent works through the contest. The award evaluates design of packaged materials in the areas of manufacturing, physical distribution and environmental impact. On top of that, its purpose is to recognize the quality of design and the contribution to the value of goods.
In the 2021 traveling exhibition, the prize-winning works including the grand prize and each award-winning works as well as the winning works of the designers in Nagoya area will be exhibited, and an awarded designers’ talk will be held on March 13th.
