Osamu Harada: Finding “KAWAII”

Osamu Harada, the creator of “OSAMU GOODS”, which gained explosive popularity mainly among high school girls from the late 1970s to the 90s. Illustrations influenced by American comics, TV anime, pop art, etc. in the 50’s and 60’s – especially the characters drawn with simple lines and refreshing colors had a great influence on the subsequent Japanese “KAWAII” culture.
