Honorable Mention

TitleF Food doesn't require "decoration"

Concept: Recently, we have been hearing over and over again about the safety and environmental issues of food. People must think anew the meaning of "eating."
Making food and dishes look "beautiful and delicious" is indeed important, but excessive rendition (fabrication and deception) is unforgivable.
In this piece, I express such "excessive rendition" in my own way.
What do we choose and how will we face the matter of eating?
The answer lies in each and every person's judgment and action.
Food doesn't require any "decoration.
*Work 1 "Vegetable"
The radish is a vegetable which we often eat.
What would you do if you found a radish decorated with rhinestones sticking out of the ground?
*Work 2 "Meat"
There are various brands of meat. But what if a fashion brand company was to release a new brand of meat? Some people may actually buy it.
*Work 3 "Fish"
How about these glittering spangles? Do they resemble the scales of a fish? This fish is so fresh that it shines brilliant. A real bargain for shoppers.

Judge's Comments: This work directly expresses a powerful message that is easy to understand. It adopts timely food-related issues such as fabricated and disguised food products while also incorporating criticism of blind faith in brands. This is a work that urges us to go back to the basics and do away with excessive presentation.
